The Third United Nations Environment Conference was held at the headquarters of the United Nations Environment Programme in Nairobi, Kenya, on December 4. The conference lasted for three days. According to the report issued by the United Nations Environment Programme, environmental degradation causes 12.6 million deaths worldwide every year, and one in every four deaths is caused by environmental problems; Among them, air pollution kills 6.5 million people every year and is known as the killer of major environmental problems. UNEP pointed out that more than 80% of the world's cities do not meet the United Nations air quality standards. In addition, the damage caused by land, freshwater, marine pollution, chemical and waste pollution to people and the earth is also shocking. This session of the General Assembly wants to adopt more than 10 resolutions to strengthen efforts to clean the earth and save the environment and lives.
